Mini Vacay!

Two weekends ago, we decided it would be fun to take a mini vacation, only a few hours away, and have some fun with the kiddos.  

First we went to Thanksgiving Point to the dinosaur museum.  Saige was slightly entertained.  We may have to wait a few years before going back.  I think everything was a little bit too advanced for her.  

Then we went to the gardens which includes a pass to the kids gardens where they can play in the water.  Saige LOVES the water.  

I tried to tell him that they are MEAN, but he wouldn't listen!

Then back to the hotel, which took us an hour to find because it's back in the trees with NO sign,  for a little swim time in the 12 degree water at our EXPENSIVE hotel with a HEATED pool.... NOT! The stupid hotel was half ripped apart with construction too.  Just lovely.  We survived.... barely. ;)

&& last..... The zoo... which because we are so lucky, was also half tore up.  Very few animals to see because they literally have half of it tore out to remodel.  No train or any of that stuff.  They do have some awesome new seal and bear exhibits though! 

We discovered that vacationing with a 6 week old and 2 year old is pretty much exhausting, but we had lots of fun! Can't wait till the zoo is finished and we can go back!
