A night (last night) in the life of Ashley....
*11 pm feed and change Swayzee
*Go to bed at 11:45 pm when everything finally settles...
*Saige wakes up screaming bloody murder when I get to bed and stays up for about half an hour
*12:30 am... Swayzee still awake...
*12:45 am Swayzee finally asleep
*12:55 am I finally fall asleep
*1:15 am Swayzee wakes up so I feed and change her
*1:45 am Saige (a Vietnam war vet) wakes up from one of her PTSD war dreams kicking and screaming and kicks me in the stomach, right in my c-section incision...
*2:15 am back to sleep
*2:45 am another war dream....
*3:00 am back to sleep
*4:00 am Swayzee up, feed and change
*4:30 am Saige up demanding to go to the potty... I take her she sits for 15 minutes and nothing...
*4:45 am back to bed...
*Fall asleep about 4:59 am
*5:00 am JJ's first alarm goes off
*5:15 am JJ's second alarm goes off
*5:30 am JJ's 3rd alarm goes off and he is very lucky he gets up
*6:00 am JJ starts his truck to leave for work and Saige wakes up screaming Daddy (she does this every morning)
*6:30 am back to sleep
*7:00 am Swayzee up feed and change
*7:30 am back to sleep
(Why I don't just get up at this point, I don't know... I really should, but I'm so tired I try to take advantage of Saige sleeping till 10 am..)
*9:00 Swayzee up feed and change her
*10:00 am Saige up...
Crawl out of bed and think about how I have to do it all over again in about 13 hours!!
Total sleep: 3 hours 20 minutes....
This has been my schedule since we brought Swayzee home from the hospital. Someone tell me I will live through this, because at this point I don't know if I will!
:(
A "vietnam war vet" ~ lol...
ReplyDeleteShe is a bit crazy at night to sleep with...
It will get better, I promise~!

"A bit" is a total understatement. We need to get this kid in her own bed! :)
DeleteSo sorry to read this post!!! Hope the last couple of nights have been better!! I wonder why Saige has those dreams? What do you guys watch before bed? Does she snack before bed? They say that when you eat some things it can cause you to have crazy dreams. Poor girl!! and poor Mommy!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a tiny bit better (getting about 5 hrs a night instead of 3) till Saige got her ear infection, then it was 1 hour of sleep! She usually watches the normal Family Guy before bed hahaha... Jk she normally plays till she goes to sleep and doesn't pay attention to the TV. Don't normally give her snacks after dinner unless she tells me she's hungry.
DeleteAshley, I get tired just reading this! Poor you. I forgot what it feels like to have two little ones up all night! Take care.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the little one won't end up like my older daughter and not sleep for two years. I can live through 3 years of no sleep, but not 5!! Lol
